Close to horses, an amateur rider quite young, Frederic Butet, after farrier training, began by fortuity at a riding saddler's where he spent ten years.
He began his training in the workshop, then in sales. In 1985 he decided to create his own workshop, settling in Saumur. The Butet saddle adventure began on his well known French market.
Very quickly, in 1986, the first saddles were exported, and since, each year, new countries join us to reach world-wide distribution.
The rule during all these years has been to keep the spirit of creation, the backbone staying in technical research, adapting the product without ever sacrificing the shape and the style of the saddles to the modernisation.
A Butet sadlle is and must remain a beautiful object.
